The car was stuck in traffic.  I had sat through a 30-min meeting to be fired by the bank I worked at.  An HR lady escorted me out of the building.  Three giant posters on the building I was stuck in front of, had big letters painted under three women wearing big smiles, that said: New Career at 35.  I had no smiles.  The info packet about Cobra had slipped onto the floor, its content reminding me that health care was going to be expensive.  But I was 35 and I did need a new career.
